Will a Dog Wheelchair Work for your Dog?
In order to use a rear wheel doh wheelchair, you dog will need to have some strength in his front legs. By using a towel to lift the rear legs off the ground, you can see if the dog will be able to use a rear wheel dog wheelchair.
If your dog cannot pass this test, he will need a custom-made "Quad" or Four Wheel dog wheelchair.

Lucy, a cute black dog with a bright blue tongue, was born in Puerto Rico. Hit by a car and left by the side of the road to die, she was rescued by the Second Chance Animal Rescue and, after almost giving up hope, by a woman in Peterborough, NH. In October 2008 she was named "HandicappedPets.com Official Mascot" and given a new Walkin' Wheels dog wheelchair.

Marvin, a rescued Lab from R.I. donates wheelchair to Nico, a paralyzed Boxer in Revere, MA. Nico, a paraplegic after a stroke takes his first steps in over a year. HandicappedPets.com and Marvin, a beautiful and happy 8 year old black lab, and his owner, Dr. EJ Finnochio from the RISPCA donate a cart to Nico, a happy 12 year old Boxer who still tries to chase the
neighborhood dogs and cats, even though he has paraplegia in his rear legs.
