Protective Pet Boots for Dogs! A Convenient Way to Protect Bandages
and other Leg Injuries.
These boots are NOT sold as a set. Price is for EACH boot.
Hello,We just wanted you to know the exchanged Protective boot arrived today (had to exchange the size large for another size medium). We can't say enough about these protective boots - they are terrific! Our 10-year-old greyhound, Turbo, doesn't mind wearing it at all on her wounded foot, especially in her snow-packed yard in Illinois! It's wonderful because it is waterproof to protect her wound dressing and also gives her stability when she goes out in this crummy, cold, snowy, wet weather. She waits patiently at the door to get it on and then goes outside to potty and on a rare clear day here, she will saunter around her whole yard leisurely and comfortably thanks to her protective boot. Great to say that her wound is healing nicely now and hopefully she will only have to wear the boot outside another couple weeks or so.
Thank you again for this wonderful product and your excellent and prompt service. Also, thank you for answering our questions on the sizing before we ordered, we really appreciate your kindness and help. We are so happy with the boot and we know that Turbo is very happy with it, too. Please know that we will certainly tell friends about this wonderful product!
Sincerely,
Cindy and Leo

These pet boots (as well as any boots or shoes for human or animal) are not designed for use on ice. In order to be stable on ice, metal spikes (on human boots/shoes) are needed. Similarly, your dog may be better equipped for ice using his toenails for traction.
The protective dog boot is a convenient way to keep bandages, casts, amputations & sutures dry and clean. The waterproof/breathable protective dog boot is a useful tool in following through on veterinary treatments. Drier bandages mean less chance of infection, fewer stinky bandages and reduced need for re-wraps. The boots are oversized to accommodate a bandage and splint. Available in 5 color-
coded sizes, they are made of a waterproof nylon shell, durable no-skid bottom, and elastic straps.
The vet-approved device protects wounds, splints, bandages and casts as well as amputations and sutures from the outdoor elements and from the dreadful licking and chewing that can damage even further.
Indicated for surgeries, fractures, amputations, granulomas, decubitis and many other applications. Note that these boots are designed for light-duty and are not for animals that drag their legs.
Dragging will cause these boots to wear and tear. Ease of use facilitates compliance resulting in fewer rewraps and complications from wet bandages.

I LOVE the HandicappedPets.com protective boot. We did bags and tape, etc and I had a really hard time finding just this item- I considered making something but I was never much of a seamstress. I am having an extremely difficult time with wound care for my deaf and now crippled English Setter Scooter, who suffered nerve damage during his Femoral Head Ostomy. This boot keeps his bandages (and his OrthoVet splint) clean and dry and I am thrilled with it. I am also grateful for your message boards and have gotten some great advice from your loyal following. I ran out and bought
Biodres wound dressing today thanks to a tip from someone who saw my late night post and responded really fast and for that I am truly grateful. Wish us luck! I am sending a picture of Scooter with my most recent foster boy, KS Hunter. Scooter is the white dog, my adoptee from ACES.
Best Regards, A Davis
Testimonials from Veterinarians
"My clients sometimes spend a significant amount of money on their pet's illnesses and injuries. Until now I have been asking them to protect bandages and splints with a plastic bag. The HandicappedPets.com protective dog boot professonalizes my practice!" - Paul Donovan, VMD
"Dispensing the protective dog boot adds value to the surgeries I perform and truly helps my clients." - Carlos Hodges, DVM
Testimonials from Dog Caretakers.
"After using it 4-5 times a day for 2 weeks in the snow, it held up well. When it was time to go out, my dog would have her leg up so I could put it on easily. It was a pleasure to not have to deal with a plastic bag and tape!" - Dog Owner
"I used it on my dog several times a day for about two weeks. The HandicappedPets.com protective dog boot keeps the bandage dry."- Dog Owner
"My "TONKA" actually loved it. When it came time to go out, he would sit next to the door with his paw in the air, waiting for mom to put the protective dog boot on. When he came in the same process all over again. It took no time to put on or off. We did use it to walk across very wet grass and the bandage was not wet. I highly recommend them to anyone whose pet has a bandage. It is fast and easy to use." - Dawn
