Dog Fancy Magazine Features Two Walkin' Wheels Dogs in September 2010!
Dog Fancy, the world's most widely read dog magazine, features two Walkin' Wheels users in the September 2010 issue that is available on newsstands now.
Read about the rescue of Mr. Peabody - a dog whose rear legs were lost when he was attacked by a bobcat when he was just one week old. Mr. Peabody recently celebrated his first birthday and he is continuing to thrive in his new home with veterinarian Dr. Ann Campbell. In addition to reading about Mr. Peabody in Dog Fancy, you can also watch him grow up and get his Walkin' Wheels on You Tube.
Also featured in the September 2010 issue is Angel, a dog who received a Walkin' Wheels dog wheelchair from the Handicapped Pets Foundation. Angel is pictured at right as she prepares for her first spin in her new wheels.
In addition to reading about Angel, you can also see her at the dog park with her sibling Angelus by watching her video on You Tube.

The Online Source for Help and Advice for Handicapped Pets
With over 70,000 posts organized and overseen by a dedicated group of volunteers with extensive, real life experience in caring for pets with special needs, the HandicappedPets.com discussion forum is the online source for help and advice for caretakers of elderly, injured or disabled pets.
The forum is not a subsitute for routine and emergency veterinary care, but it is a place where pet caretakers can find innovative support in areas such as paralysis, incontinence, diabetes and hearing and visual impairments. There is even a link to multi-lingual instructions on how to express a pet's bladder.
There are also discussion forum topic areas devoted to rescue and transport where rescues and adopters can post photos and descriptions of special needs pets. We hope that you will log in and join the information exchange.
