Fold of Flank  measurement of a Dog for a Wheelchair

To measure the height of a dog for a Wheelchair, measure from the ground to the "Fold of the Flank" as shown here.  (The skin material that joins the rear leg to the abdomen).  The measurement does not need to be 100% exact because the cart is adjustable, however, if your measurement is wrong or taken from the wrong point, you may need to exchange the wheels or struts.  You want to do the measurement from the side of the dog, not underneath.  In the picture of the live dog, the white arrow is pointing to the flank skin that joins the rear leg to the abdomen.  The flank looks like the webbing between your fingers. This is where you take the measurement from. If you have any questions, call Handicappedpets 888-811-7387

The height of the dog is needed so we can select the correct wheel and strut. It snaps in and can be easily changed. If the dog is laying down, you can measure like this. For a standing dog, measure from the fold of the flank. Your measurement does not need to be exact. The 3 inch range of adjustment make it easy.
