The Harness
The Dog Brace
Mobility Brace Step 1 With the square ring on top (closest to your dog's tail) and the buckle unfastened, place the dog's head through the loop. Apply the left leg brace first by attaching the leg straps around your dog's thigh below the hip joint and above the knee joint. Apply the right side in the same manner. Mobility Brace Step 4
Insert the front left leg through the shoulder opening Mobility Brace Step 2 Mobility Brace Step 5 Pull the left and right brace firmly up and slightly forward onto the lower back and Velcro the two braces together.
Mobility Brace Step 3 Bring the free strap behind the left foreleg and snap the buckle together. Use the side adjustments to fit the harness securely Pull the nylon strap (webbing) through the square ring at the base of the harness and Velcro together. The brace should be secure but not binding. Mobility Brace Step 6
As with anything new, the dog may, at first, find the harness and brace to be awkward and uncomfortable. We suggest you distract them by taking them for a walk or tossing a toy. Before long, the dog will realize that the brace is associated with pain free fun. The harness can be left on all the time.

It has been a long time since something as new and innovative as the dog brace has been marketed to aid in the management of Canine Hip Dysplasia. The design provides additional support for the bones which stabilize the joint in a way that helps minimize bone and soft tissue pain. Early trials have been promising.

I had to stop going on daily walks with my 3-year-old dog Maggie because of her severe hip arthritis. Since using the Dog brace, we are walking up to an hour a day and Maggie is pain-free. I'm so glad to have my time with my dog back!
