Splints
- For Support and Healing
Injuries
to the lower limbs of small animals frequently need to be
splinted or braced.
These
Leg Splints
are modeled after the human splints for
lower leg, ankle and foot injuries. For orthotic and prosthetic devices, see K9Brace.com
 |
 |
Dog
splints are positioned behind the leg and the adjustable Velcro straps
are placed over the front of the leg. |

(Apologies
to very small dogs who might be offended by wearing a 'feline' size. We know
you're not a cat.)
- My dog has a rear limb Knee problem (ACL or Patella). Will a Splint work for my dog?
No, splints will support the lower limb for the animal but will not go high enough to support the knee on the dog. Click http://www.K9brace.com for a possible alternative.
- My dog seems to fall in-between sizes in your chart, should I order the larger size?
Splints are a standard size splint and will not conform to every contour of the animals limb. If the measurement is not right on try using the weight information on the sizing chart. If there is still questions, please give us a call at 866-207-9205.
- Do you make any other splints or braces for larger animals?
We have done some custom bracing for larger animals but usually refer people to our links page to www.equinebrace.com.
- Can I change or remold the splint with heat?
Yes, you can heat and Flair the plastic away from a problem area but you can not change the angle of the splint. You will need a Heat Gun to do any modifications and we always recommend you call before you try altering the splints.
- Does the splint have any tred or soling on the bottom so the dog will not slip?
Yes, the splints have a non-skid soling surface on the bottom.
- Do the splints have any padding inside and can it be cleaned?
Yes, the splints are fully lined with a closed cell foam that can be washed.

Dear Mr. Mark Robinson,
We want to thank you for the Splint that we ordered last October for a client of Us.
The owners of the cross-breed ;Bouvier de Flandres/Briard had to cry of joy that their dog of the age of fourteen could walk at the normal way after so many years.........
Our business are in the circuit of helpingdogsaid and with a animal-fysiotherapy (one of our dogs has fysiotherapy).
But what we notice in the Netherlands that many people are sceptical about these products like splints and we want to change that a liitle bit, so it wouldn`t be strange that we will order frequently for our customers.
So once again, thank you very much.
With kind regards,
FURKA
Emyl & Nancy-Julia Kwast and their dogs.
